The town of Wiltz offers the second-largest museum of the Battle of the Bulge in Luxembourg. The museum is open 25 May-15 September as well as a week each around Easter and Christmas. Another attraction is the baroque castle of the Counts of Wiltz. Its stables house the Luxembourg Beer Museum. (Try the local brew, Simon Pils.) An annual open-air festival of music, theater and dance takes place in July. The stone crosses you see around town commemorate victims of the plague (1300s-1500s) and feudal injustice. 25 mi/40 km northwest of Luxembourg City.
