Located on the lake's southern shore, this resort leads the pack in the area. Originally opened in 1948 as the rustic Shore Lodge, the property was purchased by San Diego-based Manchester Grand Resorts in 1993 and underwent a $25 million renovation. Many of the original elements remain, including river-rock slabs and pinewood planks in the lobby. Walls lined with black-and-white photos of McCall lend a nostalgic touch.
