The theme of Umlani Bush Camp is to "get back in touch with nature." And to do so, traditional Shaagan practices are followed. Here you stay in thatch roof and reed huts and the entire lodge lacks electricity. Yet evenings still come alive via natural moonlight, candles and oil lamps. Showers and baths are heated and operated by a burning fire and nature is enjoyed in the accompaniment of a local ranger familiar with the land.
