Accommodations are improving-and still exhibiting a wide range of quality. Although the first-class hotels of Kampala and Entebbe may not be up to deluxe Nairobi standards, they are quite decent. The game lodges have also improved, and most of the accommodations in the national parks have been refurbished over recent years. Where once there was only a campsite, because of the popularity of gorilla tracking, luxury safari camps and lodges have been built near Bwindi National Park. We highly recommend staying in as nice a property as possible to minimize potential problems (even so, some difficulties may still crop up).
