Company Overview for Travelodge
Incorporated in 1946,
Travelodge Hotels operates nearly 500 hotels in business, resort and leisure areas in North America. Properties range in size from 25 to 200 rooms.
The chain provides four tiers of accommodations: Travelodge Inn, Travelodge Hotels, Travelodge Suites and Thriftlodge.
Travelodge Inn properties stress friendly service and clean, comfortable rooms. Amenities include complimentary in-room coffee, a weekday newspaper and free incoming fax messages.
Travelodge Hotels are full-service facilities offering all the amenities of Travelodge Inn locations. They also provide restaurant and meeting space, and they may include lounges, pools, gift shops, business centers and laundry services.
Travelodge Suites offer all the above services and amenities, but add an expanded living/working space or an additional room.
Thriftlodge properties are no-frills roadside motels delivering clean and comfortable rooms at low rates. This limited-service brand was created in 1992 to accommodate budget-conscious travelers.
Travelodge is known by its mascot, Sleepy Bear, who has served as the chain's 'ambassador to children' since 1954.
Pet-friendly policies vary by location. Contact hotels directly for specific information on policies and any related costs.
The chain's loyalty program is Travelodge Miles Rewards. Guests earn points for qualified hotel stays at certain chains operated by its parent company, Cendant and Wyndham Worldwide. These include the U.S. hotels of Travelodge, and all North American locations of AmeriHost Inn, Baymont, Days Inn, Howard Johnson, Knights Inn, Ramada, Super 8, Wingate by Wyndham, and Wyndham Hotels and Resorts. Guests can also earn points on airline miles through Air Canada Aeroplan, Continental OnePass and Delta SkyMiles programs or rail miles through Amtrak. They can use the points for shopping, dining certificates, merchandise, entertainment, airline tickets and resort vacations.
