Services and amenities vary with each franchise. Generally, guests at Super 8 Motels can expect 24-hour front-desk service, free local phone calls, fax and copy services, cable or satellite TV, access to a safe-deposit box, complimentary morning tea and coffee and complimentary breakfast. Children under 17 stay free in the same room with an adult family member. Smoke-free and handicap-accessible rooms are usually in the mix.
Super 8’s parent company is Cendant. Cendant recently split its company into four parts: Realogy, Wyndham Worldwide, Travelport and Avis Budget Group. Guests at all of these chains can earn points through a loyalty program called TripRewards. Thanks to partnerships with Avis and Budget car rental companies, guests can earn more points through renting cars. The points can be exchanged for hotel stays, airline tickets, resort vacations, electronics, home appliances, sporting goods, movie and theme park tickets and gift certificates.
