This plantation was built in the 1780s. What's left are the ruins stabilized by the Virgin Islands National Park. They sit above the water at Leinster Bay and are reached via the North Shore Road. Wander around the sugar mill and the factory, and peek into the jail. The views of Sir Francis Drake Channel and nearby Tortola are lovely. Although there are no set visitor hours, Virgin Islands National Park offers tours and, periodically, living-history demonstrations. Leinster Bay Road, St. John. Phone 340-776-6201.
