This relatively unspoiled island in the Sporades has a ruined Venetian castle—note the entrance relief of the Lion of St.
Mark. Other draws include caves, a couple of museums, fourth-century walls (still standing) and the St. George Monastery. The houses of residents are filled with hand-carved furniture, pottery, embroideries and handicrafts.
