Fresno is a fairly safe city, but stay in areas with attractions and street life. Neighborhoods can change character in a block or two, but the areas where visitors sightsee, eat and shop are safe. Take normal precautions about locking your car and stowing valuables where they cannot be seen. Be aware of your surroundings at all times, especially at night.
