Rodney Bay, St. Lucia, is a yachting center and one of the island's principal hotel areas, with a nice beach and many restaurants—all within walking distance of each other. (One restaurant, the Lime, has a bar that's popular with St. Lucians.) Located 6 mi/10 km north of Castries, this is the most developed part of the island outside of the cities, but the area is tastefully built, with red-roofed shops and condominiums.
