Near Barcelo La Jolla de Mismaloya, this property has always been one of the better hotels south of Puerto Vallarta, ranking just behind the Dreams Resort in appeal—mainly because of its limited beach. The high rates, lack of manic social directors, and panoramic vistas of the small beach and ocean expanse tend to winnow guests to the rich and the romantic, for whom scenery is more important than the scene.
