In an affluent residential neighborhood high above the Tagus River, this hotel sits 2 km west of, and has views of, the 25 de Abril bridge (the one that looks like the Golden Gate). Its size is the only real shortcoming, with improved service and dining on track. Still, it lacks the Lapa Palace's discreet ambience and high level of personal service, and conventions and groups remain the focus despite more attention from individuals (namely Americans) who hear of this property's long list of hono
