The main town of the Turku Archipelago, Pargas (called Parainen by Finns) is surrounded by limestone quarries. The islands boast beautiful sea vistas and long bridges. Other attractions include a 14th-century granite church and the Pargas Local History Museum (an open-air museum depicting life as it was several hundred years ago). Plan on at least two nights to enjoy this very peaceful and relaxing area. We highly recommend the one-hour drive between Pargas and the western town of Nauvo, which contains another great 14th-century church. Pargas is 90 mi/145 km west of Helsinki.
