This is the oldest museum west of the Mississippi and the first building constructed of structurally reinforced concrete. It displays an extraordinary collection of Asian and Egyptian treasures, Stanford family memorabilia and California Native American objects. The center's Rodin Sculpture Garden is one of the world's largest collections of works by Auguste Rodin. Twenty bronzes, including The Gates of Hell, are on display indoors and out. There is a bookstore and a cafe on-site. Open Wednesday-Sunday 11 am-5 pm, Thursday till 8 pm.
