This new villa complex immediately surpasses many of the others on the island. Comparable only to Villas at Stonehaven, it sacrifices the sea views of the competing property for a bit more seclusion and distance between the villas. Set on gently sloping, well-manicured grounds, it is a luxurious option suited for larger groups or families and weddings.
Guests receive an airport pickup and check in directly at each villa within the gated grounds. Guests either cook for themselves or hire a chef, as no restaurants are on-site
or within walking distance. Unlike at Stonehaven, there really is no public space for gathering; the focus is entirely on the individual villas. A welcome meal is prepared for new arrivals, and the first breakfast is also included in the rates.
The concierge in the small office by the gate can arrange car rentals, tours and other activities, and service is very accommodating. A gazebo is on-site for weddings, and a tent is available for rent for larger gatherings.
The villas are quite spacious and offer all the amenities of a full house, including well-equipped kitchens and laundry facilities. French doors open from every room, allowing cooling breezes to sweep through each entire villa. A wide terrace out the front doors features a barbecue and deck furniture, as well as a pool with shallow and deep areas. Each villa offers three bedrooms—one with a king bed, the other two with two doubles. The two upstairs bedrooms show peaked wood ceilings, and French doors open to patios or balconies. TVs, CD and DVD players, and phones are standard. Ceiling fans whirl throughout, but only the bedrooms offer air-conditioning. Baths are shower-only with large vanities. Wireless Internet access is standard for each unit, and housekeeping pays a daily visit. At inspection, no villas were wheelchair accessible, but plans are to modify one of them.
Fine accommodations and sharp service make this a better choice than Sanctuary Villa Resort.
