Novotel began in 1967 and claims to have been the first modern hotel chain in France. The company has grown into an international chain for leisure and business travelers alike, with more than 397 hotels in 58 countries. Novotel is an upper-price-range hotel that puts a premium on health, relaxation and innovation in the hotel industry.
Novotel features in-house restaurants that focus on healthy balanced meals made with fresh ingredients. Locations typically include exercise rooms, a swimming pool and whirlpool. Sunday checkout times are as late as 5 pm. Family rooms are available in most hotels, and children stay free with accompanying adults. Novotel also provides game areas and children’s menus.
The new Novation bedroom includes a duvet, separate bath and shower facilities, safe and minibar, high-speed Internet access, opening windows, coffee/teamaker, wireless phone, iron and ironing board, and hair dryer. Executive rooms and suites with additional amenities such as flat-screen TVs are available at some locations.
Novotel is committed to a Seven-Step approach for hosting business meetings and functions that includes itemized billing, event planners and balanced catering choices. Select Novotel locations carry the Nature et Reunion label or the ATRIA label. Nature et Reunion hotels focus upon the environment and feature naturally lit meeting rooms.
