North Dakota's accommodations reflect its outdoor-recreation focus. Visitors will find a wide range of campgrounds, privately owned and chain motels and, in the bigger cities, luxury hotels. Outdoor enthusiasts will find lakeside campground resorts offering self-contained cabins, guide services, boat docks, fishing and swimming. In the badlands area of the state, there are several guest ranches that offer a western atmosphere, as well as a place to bunk for the night. If you're visiting Theodore Roosevelt National Park, look for motel accommodations in Medora, Belfield and Watford City.
