On Route 28, across from The Captain's House Inn, this place was once home to the eponymous Captain Nickerson and is now a charming and often overlooked traditional inn. Rates here, even at peak times, are reasonable. This is not as grand or evocative as The Captain's House Inn, but this delightful hostelry, with its spry owner and creaky 300-year-old floors and constantly stoked fireplace, is a Cap Cod classic.
