Meads Bay, at the western end of the island, isn't a village—it's a terrific mile-long beach with upscale hotels, restaurants and art galleries. At its eastern tip is Dolphin Discovery, Anguilla's entry in the "swim with dophins" experiences. It's low-key compared with others we've seen—participants get into a large holding tank with the dolphins and feed them. There are four sessions each day. Openings fill up quickly, so if you're interested, book your time as soon as you arrive. US$79-$169 per person; various time slots available, from one hour and up.
