Situated on a 17-acre bluff overlooking the harbor and Charlotte Amalie 3 miles away, this remains the largest, most substantial resort on the island and the most extensive in the Virgin Islands. This establishment has gained new stature with the demise of the Grand Beach Palace (the former Renaissance). Although not as deluxe as the Ritz-Carlton, this hotel is priced for the mainstream and does a good job filling its huge room count.
