Located in an exclusive resort area, this hotel is across the street from the beach and the yacht club and within easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. The lobby, reception and pool areas are modern, spacious and inviting. However, the accommodations do not reflect the same modern feeling or attention to detail.
The front desk offers currency exchange services. There are shops on-site, but the selection is poor and prices are higher than in shops near the hotel.
Breakfast and lunch are served poolside at the Oasis, the Pizza Marina, and La Palmeraie restaurants.
Barbecue and pizza dominate the limited menus, and the food quality is fair. This also holds true for the main restaurant, Horizon. Guests are better off taking a short walk to the Yacht Club and eating at one of the many excellent restaurants there.
The exterior pool area is a lavish landscape surrounded by palm trees and chaise longues.
A large conference hall seats 250 people and three smaller meeting halls accommodate groups of 20, 30 and 40. Facilities include a big-screen TV, over-head projectors, presentation boards, VCRs and DVDs. The business center offers a photocopy machine, 
fax, Internet access and translation services.
Guest rooms are large and spacious, but in dire need of a make-over. The carpeting is clean but well-worn, as are the bed covers and drapes, all of which sport colors that harken to the 1980s. Half of the work desk is taken up by a TV. A phone next to the bed allows guests to dial up the Internet through an in-house connection. The baths, though large, are poorly laid out. They are fitted with combination tubs and showers, a hair dryer and a make-up mirror. Vanity space is limited.
Although none of the rooms is designated as handicapped-accessible, most are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair. The baths ,which offer only shower-tub combinations, could present a problem.
Staff members are friendly and helpful. Besides Arabic, most speak English and French very well.
This hotel's location is good and the public areas are inviting. Guests will do well to spend most of their time there, or in local restaurants, rather than in the guest rooms until renovations are undertaken.
