This midrange resort focuses its attention primarily on families and children. Most of the activities are suited for youngsters who speak Hebrew, but the hotel is opening its doors more and more to tourists as well.Young guests are treated specially from the moment they arrive. Staff costumed as fairy-tale characters greet them and, at a separate check-in counter, children get coupons entitling them to free drinks and snacks throughout their stay. Teenagers have their own Magic Fun arena, with computers and Playstation outlets ready for use.The hotel's entrance leads to a spacious lobby, with seating areas furnished with upholsteries in shades of light brown and orange set around a sculpture of bubbling glass vials. The floors in the lounge are plain wood, but here and there a magic carpet provides some warmth. The dining room provides tasty meals, suitable for the family crowds, and a poolside snack bar serves grilled lunches. The hotel houses both a swimming pool and a wading pool, with extensive tanning areas, but the beach is a ten-minute walk away. Entrance to the luxurious spa and the well-equipped gym are available for a fee. Free parking is available in small lot outside, and the hotel sports the standard Eilat attractions sales counter. Almost all rooms are suitable for families, with the best offering pool views. King beds are standard, and the sofas in the sitting areas open up easily to sleep the children. Amenities in all rooms include coffeemakers, hair dryers,
a minibar or refrigerator, and a safe. Ten suites add a large living room and two balconies, with a whirlpool outside on the terrace. Unfortunately, neither smoke-free rooms nor Internet connections are yet available.Due to its emphasis on hosting families and children, the Magic Palace is not in the same league as other lagoon-facing hotels, such as the Dan Panorama and the Crowne Plaza. As soon as it begins to focus on tourists and their needs as well, the Magic Place will offer a unique holiday for parents combined with an action-packed adventure for their children.
