Professional Review for Indianapolis Zoo

Featuring an aquarium, conservatory and botanical garden, this downtown zoo has more than 3,000 animals in naturalistic habitats along with one of the world's largest pavilions for sea animals, including a touch pool full of sharks. Children flock to the Oceans exhibit, which features an underwater tunnel that allows for spectacular views of dolphins playing. Moving up, some 15 ft/4.6 m above ground, children have the chance to feed baby giraffes. They also love the miniature train, the dolphin show, the water-spray park and the miniature roller coaster. Monday-Friday 9 am-5 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am-6 pm. US$13.50 adults, US$8.50 children ages 2-12. US$5 for parking, all rides cost extra. 1200 W. Washington St., Indianapolis.
