Professional Review
The Hotel Monterey Group has made a name for itself by designing hotels with a decidedly European flair, making it very popular with female Japanese travelers, and this property, 800 m southeast of Sapporo Station, is no exception. Opened in 2000, it imitates Vienna of the early 1900s, with Otto Wagner-inspired designs, art-deco embellishments, and lots of marble and stained-glass windows in its public spaces.
