Hilton Head has plenty of accommodations with ocean views. World-class hotels and resorts line the south end of the island. You'll find private beach houses and condos concentrated in Sea Pines Plantation and Palmetto Dunes. If you are looking for affordability, you'll probably find a good deal off the island in the neighboring town of Bluffton. There are few budget hotels or bed-and-breakfasts on the island itself.
Rates are at their highest during the Verizon Heritage golf tournament in April and Fourth of July weekend. If you plan to visit during summer, book as far in advance as possible. The best rates can be found in March and October.
