This garden-centric hotel takes its name seriously with its acres of verdant flora and lush forestry nearby. As it is a manor house, its casual atmosphere is welcoming and unpretentious. A recent refurbishment of the old-world wood paneling, stiff-upper-lip decor and crackling fireplace has helped to set the scene, although the feel is as unpretentious as they come. An honor bar and a cigar library supply diversion in the evening.
