Grand Hotel Emerald, opened in 2003, is a recent addition to the expanding St. Petersburg hotel market. It is located on Suvorovsky prospect, a 10-minute walk off the main Nevsky prospect, on the way to Smolny Cathedral and the city administration. The location is quieter and more residential than Nevsky itself, though it may be a bit too far for those interested in the main sites. Reasonably priced for its offerings, this hotel will certainly appeal to business travelers.
