This small island near the border with Tunisia has nice sandy beaches, a few dunes and palm groves and, unfortunately, unobstructed views of a petrochemicals plant. At present, there's not much development, but that may change soon. A causeway and an occasional ferry connect the island to the mainland at Bu Kammash. About 90 mi/150 km west of Tripoli.
