1-30 Nov—Fiestas del Mar. This annual celebration of the sea includes sailing regattas, fishing tournament, boat show, gourmet-food festival and more.
2 Nov-Dia de los Muertos. Public holiday. Day of the Dead, or All Souls' Day, when families take food and gifts to their loved ones buried in the cemeteries.
5, 12, 19, 26 Nov—Art Exhibit. About 12 art galleries are open to the public from 6-10 pm every other Wednesday.
20 Nov-Mexican Revolution Anniversary. Public holiday celebrating the 1910 revolution. A parade takes place in the morning, with fireworks and entertainment on the Malecon and at Plaza Principal at night.
Early-Late November—Festival de las Artes. A monthlong celebration of music, dance and theater organized by the city's cultural department. Art galleries showcase an impressive range of pieces by artists from throughout Mexico, and theater performances take place on the beach. Early November—Golf. At least 120 top national and international golfers compete for prizes and money in the Golf Vallarta Cup tournament. The tournament takes place on three courses at the Marina and Vista Clubs de Golf. http://www.vallartagolf.com.

Mid November—Gourmet Festival. One of Mexico's premier culinary-arts events, this annual festival draws more than 20,000 people. Local chefs and more than 20 guest chefs from around the world serve up some 500 gourmet foods, cheeses, tequilas and other liquors. Mid November—Torneo Internacional de Pez Vela y Marlin. For nearly 50 years, one of Mexico's most prestigious and traditional international fishing tournaments has attracted hundreds of fishers from around the globe.
