This informal dive resort is located next to the similar Buddy Dive Resort. Captain Don, one of Bonaire's diving pioneers, opened the hotel in the early 1970s, making this the island's second oldest. He turns up occasionally to reminisce about the island's golden days and lures some of his celebrity scuba diving buddies to the hotel, including the Cousteau family. Although the accommodations are a notch below its neighbors, this hotel's reputation as a haven for divers remains second to none.
