A few minutes north of George Town and 3 miles from the airport, this property is part of the very posh, very popular compound that includes deluxe condo units catering to the well-heeled island visitor. A serpentine drive bordered with pink mature oleanders and royal palms meanders through perfectly manicured landscaping.
The famous Jack Nicklaus-designed golf course lies next to sea-access waterways behind the villas. Where else would one dock a yacht? If yachting becomes a bore, there are four gorgeous pools and two whirlpools, and guests have access to all facilities at the neighboring Grand Cayman Beach Suites (formerly the Hyatt Regency before Hurricane Ivan), including the business center, spa and beach club (located across the street).
The 18-hole golf course can be played three different ways, two lighted tennis courts are available, and the Rum Pointer Ferry takes guests to the opposite bank of North Sound for snorkeling, diving, picnicking, fine dining and crimson sunsets. Red Sail Sports runs a complete dive operation here. King's Court features the new spa and fitness center available for guest use. Airport transfers are included in weeklong rental rates.
Posh villas are pastel two- and three-story buildings with wide verandas across the street from the beach. One- to four-bedroom apartments feature large living rooms, comfortable good-quality furniture, cable TVs, full kitchens, washers, dryers, one to two full baths and a half-bath, and screened balconies or terraces. Most master bedrooms provide king beds and huge whirlpool 
baths with walk-in closets.
Since units are individually owned, management ensures that the decor and furnishings are up to par with the high rates charged here. Guests wishing to stay connected with home or the office should request units already equipped with Internet access (it's complimentary).
The King's Court compound boasts even more luxurious accommodations, and the townhouses toward North Sound are in a parklike setting that includes a recreational area, a superb clubhouse and extra amenities. The distance at the property is immense, but easily walkable with only a 10-minute walk separating the pool side from the villa side. The multilingual staff provides 24-hour room service and daily housekeeping (except for Sundays).
Three-day minimum stays are required, except around Christmas when guests must book at least a week. Pets are not permitted.
This gated property is ideal for those who desire upscale privacy with a homey feel. Most guests are families and couples, although business travelers are very comfortable here. But for those seeking a true tropical feel at oceanfront accommodations, this isn't the best place.
