Yerevan has an array of excellent Western hotels to choose from. The Marriot Hotel Armenia in Republic Square and the Golden Tulip Yerevan Hotel on Abovian Street are the standard-bearers in the luxury market. In the midrange are a host of other hotels including the Hotel Ani, the Europa Hotel, Hotel Congress, Ararat Hotel and some off-center choices such as the Tufenkian Avan Villa, the Bass Hotel, the Parev Inn and the Arma. In addition, there are a number of semi-remodeled Soviet hotels such as the Erebuni, Shirak and Hrazdan. Excellent hotels have been opening up across Armenia and Karabakh, including in Lori, Gyumri, Vanadzor, Jermuk, Sevan, Tsakhkadzor and Stepanakert. Good bed-and-breakfasts make spending the night in many other parts of Armenia quite comfortable as well.
