The Fairmont Kea Lani Maui
The Fairmont Kea Lani is one of Hawaii's most engaging resorts, especially for couples who appreciate the all-suite format. The highlights are the hotel’s capacious suites and one-, two- and three-bedroom villas (apartments). All have been refurbished over the last three years, each displaying high standards and good taste.

HotelJerome_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

Hotel Jerome
Aspen's oldest hotel, it provides the town with an authenticity frequently imitated, but rarely equaled. Twice-daily housekeeping, turndown, free area shuttles, concierge and 24-hour room and front-desk services provide the expected, and in-room massage services, a ski concierge and business support services add a little extra.

Africa and the Middle East

AlMaha_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

Al Maha Desert Resort & Spa
This luxurious resort is as close to an oasis in the desert as they come. While the distance from Dubai may deter some travelers, there is no match to the authentic Arabic experience that guests enjoy here. The Burj al Arab competes with fame, the Shangri-La with service, but neither can compare with the overall package and surroundings that this noble camp provides.

TwelveApostles_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

The Twelve Apostles Hotel
Fronting the splashing waves and majestic mountains, this secluded hotel offers up a healthy serving of contemporary innocence with guilty pleasures. One-bedroom suites now enjoy sunken living areas where gorgeous sea views can be enjoyed. Furnished balconies also supply an area for enjoying the natural beauty.

Asia

This superb property boasts the most exotic waterfront site in Thailand, set on 10 jungle hectares overlooking the Andaman Sea, spectacular limestone formations and two beaches. The newest addition to the property includes five beachfront villas that add incredible views for lazy loungers.

FourSeasonsJimbaran_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay
This resort has fine-tuned its voice and is now firmly ensconced at the top tier of Bali addresses. This palatial cluster of one- and two-bedroom villas tastefully explores virtually every nuance of Balinese design and adds a touch of Italian-fishing-village style. As good as the physical trappings are, it is the unmatched service that makes this hotel stand head and shoulders above its competition.

The Caribbean

Amanyara
This Caribbean resort offers the ultimate in luxury, sophistication and service on this beautiful island. Its user-friendly size makes for personable service from the hotel’s numerous employees. This amazing spot is meant for those used to the high life and don’t mind staying put for a few days – easy to do at this ideal island paradise.

DiscoveryMarigotBay_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

Discovery at Marigot Bay
Discovery, which sits alongside the sheltered and picturesque Marigot Bay, is an attractive property that is much more upscale than its nearby competitors. The main pool is central to the property, with an infinity edge and a sundeck. A waterfall tumbles into the second pool, which features a swim-up bar and a sundeck farther down the hillside, closer to the dock.

Europe

St Regis Mardavall Mallorca
Set on a scenic bluff above the ocean, this sophisticated international-style resort gives guests panoramic water views. This lavish resort for well-heeled sybarites offers Mallorca’s most elaborate spa. The tariffs here may seem high at first, but few hotels in Spain offer such high standards and such superlative service.

HotelSplendido_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

Hotel Splendido
This property is the King of the Ligurian coast. The recently-added spa has cemented the hotel’s reputation as the most heralded seaside resort north of Positano. Hidden discreetly in the trees above the port, this classic resort of Neptunian excess shines with a natural patina. Clubby and intimate, it is sized for personal attention, and thoughtful touches abound.

Latin America

Esperanza - An Auberge Resort
On a headland flanked by two beaches, this creation of Auberge Resorts has been lavished with the same attention as Auberge’s two other luxury hideaways. This hotel unveiled new interiors, 11 all-new suites and an expanded spa in November. A new 2,000-square-foot penthouse offers Italian linens on a king bed, an extra-large soaking tub, a plasma-screen TV, a private elevator entrance and views of the Sea of Cortez. Seven spa treatment rooms have been added, including a couples suite with private access.

HotelDelMar_LuxHoneymoon.jpg

Hotel Del Mar & Casino Vina del Mar
The Hotel del Mar, as it is called by virtually everyone, opened in late 2002 as part of the expansion and renovation of the 1930-vintage Casino Vina del Mar. The hotel is brilliantly grafted to the casino with little visible disruption to the integrity of either. The del Mar is the hotel of choice for Santiago’s elite.

The Pacific and Australia
