An inland high plain, Palmistes is bisected by the major cross-country road in eastern Reunion. Footpaths lead to the Cascade Biberon (a beautiful waterfall) and to the Bebour Forest. The area also has multiple botanical paths from which to take in the spectacular assortment of flowers and flowering trees, including rose apples, eucalyptus and ardisias. 25 mi/40 km southeast of St. Denis.
