Copenhagen has beautiful parks, a picturesque harbor and beautiful canals. Stroll around town, allowing plenty of time to admire the Danish architecture (both old and ultramodern).
Start out at the Radhus, or Town Hall. The Wonderful Copenhagen tourist office is a block away, and almost every main Denmark tourist sight is within a 20-minute walk. Check out Tivoli Gardens, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, Thorvaldsen's Museum, Rosenborg Palace (where the Danish crown jewels are kept) and the National Museum for Viking artifacts.
Walk the Stroget where many shops, restaurants and sights are clustered. Stroget ends on Kongens Nytorv (King's New Square), where the ancient harbor of Nyhavn, directly ahead, is a must-see.
