Ceilidh Trail Travel Guide

Ceilidh Trail Guide Overview

A drive on the Ceilidh (pronounced KAY-lee) Trail takes you between Port Hastings and Margaree Harbour, along Cape Breton's southwest coast. Highland Scots originally settled this part of the province, and the traditions of the Scottish pioneers are still carried on by the friendly people who live there. This area is home to some fine musicians, as well as the Glenora Distillery, which makes Glen Breton Rare—a single-malt whiskey.
