Dominating the scene of what to see and do in Cape Canaveral, Florida, is the Kennedy Space Center and its components: the bus tours, U.S. Astronauts Hall of Fame, Visitor Complex, Astronaut Encounter, and—for the very lucky—a space shuttle launch. However, difficult as it may be to imagine, a Cape Canaveral vacation does offer more. Museums, beaches and wildlife refuges keep travelers occupied, and the fishing is world-class.
Cocoa Beach, below Port Canaveral, features lots of restaurants and activities, including surfing. The only shop out of the ordinary is the Ron Jon Surf Shop in Cocoa Beach, but Cocoa Village has a large concentration of stores and boutiques.
